We are primarily a custom "build to print" facility that is capable of handling very small prototype jobs to medium sized production runs. We pride ourselves in flexibility and quick response to customer needs. Engineering changes are normally accommodated in one shift. In addition to assembling printed circuit boards, EMC is capable of providing chassis assembly including wiring and harnesses.
EMC Manufacturing Capabilities
Test, troubleshoot and repair are common requests. Repairs/modifications can be accomplished to approved repair procedures that include replacing pads and replacing missing tracks on printed circuit assemblies. Traceability and serialization are provided, as required. Our workmanship is warranted for one year (labor only, components not warranted). All rework (labor) under warranty is no cost to the customer. We can facilitate customer's engineers at our facility to direct the technical support.
To assist customers new to electonics manufacturing, EMC offers the following definitions typically used in the electonics industry:
CAD Data - Computer assisted design data.
EPROM - electronically programmed read only memory.
QFP - Quad flat pack
ESD - electro static discharge.
BGA - ball grid array
SMD / SMT Surface mount device / Service Mount Technology.
Artwork - Designs films / layout necessary to process bare printed circuit board.
Solder - A readily meltable alloy of tin and lead.
